VALORANT new agent leak 2026: abilities, codename, and role predictions.
Leaked VALORANT files hint at a new agent codenamed 'Pilot' with aerial mobility and recon abilities. Here is everything dataminers have found so far.
Dataminers have uncovered references to a new VALORANT agent in the game's latest patch files, codenamed 'Pilot.' While Riot Games has not officially announced the character, the volume of leaked assets — including ability icons, voice-line placeholders, and animation data — suggests the agent is deep in development and could arrive as early as Episode 9 Act 2.
Based on the leaked ability descriptions, Pilot appears to be an Initiator with a strong emphasis on aerial reconnaissance. The signature ability, tentatively called Overwatch Drone, deploys a controllable flying drone that marks enemies within its line of sight, similar to Sova's Recon Bolt but with manual steering. A second ability, Jetstream, grants Pilot a short burst of vertical lift, allowing the agent to peek over walls and crates for quick information gathering before dropping back to safety.
The ultimate ability, referenced in the files as Airstrike Beacon, allegedly calls in a targeted area-denial strike after a short delay. If accurate, this would make Pilot one of the few Initiators with a damaging ultimate, bridging the gap between Initiator utility and Controller zone control.
Community analysts speculate Pilot hails from the Philippines based on audio file naming conventions and art direction clues found in texture files. This would make Pilot the second Southeast Asian agent after Neon.
It is important to note that leaked content often changes before release. Riot has a history of reworking agent kits during internal playtesting, and abilities that appear in datamines do not always ship in their original form. Still, the prospect of a flight-based Initiator has the community buzzing, and competitive players are already theorizing about how Pilot could reshape the meta on verticality-heavy maps like Lotus and Icebox.
